WHO AM I

My name is Casey Kerner and I was born to be a teacher! My driven work ethic, compassionate nature and enthusiastic personality all provide me with the ability to successfully teach all students. I have been a classroom teacher for the past 10 years. I have been a Grade 6 Math/Science Teacher at the Ahern Middle School for the past 2 years. Prior to joining Foxborough Public Schools, I spent 8 years teaching at Richardson Olmsted Elementary School in Easton. While working at RO, I taught 5th grade for my first year (2015-2016) and 4th grade for the following 7 years. I also worked in the Foxborough Public Schools for 2 years as a Paraprofessional before joining the Easton Public Schools.

Being a classroom teacher has been both surreal and exciting! Each day, I have fallen further in love with the profession. Inside my classroom, students learn to unlock the magic within their own unique brains. My students and I showcase our endurance on a daily basis through rigorous, differentiated materials. We learn to embrace a productive learning struggle in order to promote neuroplasticity! Through my creative approaches, even the most "unmotivated" students have become eager participants.

To say I love my role as a classroom teacher would be an understatement. My students are my number one priority each and every day. Being a teacher is not only what I do, it is who I am.
