Glorious Geometry

We just finished up our Geometry Unit and the kids sure worked hard! Their brains have been filled with tons of new math vocabulary and concepts. Throughout the unit, we practiced our skills with various games and manipulatives. Their hard work certainly paid off, as our exam average for all 50 students was 87%!

The biggest highlight of this unit was definitely their neighborhood building assignments. Students had a week to complete a geometry homework assignment, and their creations REALLY blew me away! When distributing the assignment, I told the students they could complete the assignment in any way they wish....even just on a piece of paper! However, most students decided to go above and beyond! Our classroom was filled with posters, 3-D Diagrams, PowerPoint Presentations and proud students. Check out some of their creations below:
