Social Studies Update

We have finished our North American Native People Unit. Our students are now experts concerning the indigenous peoples who have lived in the land we now call the United States for thousands of years.

Be sure to ask your student about the differences and similarities found between the 5 Regions of Native American people. Students should be able to explain main ideas such as: transportation, food, shelter, environment and other cool facts.

Please check out our Native American Names Bulletin Board. Our students renamed themselves according to their personalities and animal likenesses. We took our inspiration from books like A Boy Named Slow and Knots on a Counting Rope. Please be sure to ask your child about these fabulous books!!
