Cooperative Learning
Recently, we have been spending a significant amount of time focusing on main ideas. To apply their skills and knowledge, the students were given a group project. Each group was responsible for a chapter we have covered in Tuck Everlasting. By working together, each group decided what the main ideas were from their particular chapter. The groups then showcased their main ideas, along with some symbolism, on their posters. Using their main ideas as a guide, the groups summarized their chapters to our class. While presenting their chapters, the class participated in a "Give One, Get One" Activity. It was a joy to see how well the students worked together!
