Field Trip at Patriot Place

We were very fortunate to experience an incredible day at Patriot Place! Our field trip was filled with exploring, investigating, history, science, technology, food and football!

During the first part of our day, we were able to experience all of the various technologies in the Hall at Patriot Place. Red Robin filled with 100 5th graders was quite an interesting experience! The kids loved having the opportunity to spend time with their friends in other classes. Afterwards, we were able to enter the press box within Gillette. While there, we learned all about the history and importance of football helmets. The students were intrigued to learn how much science and research goes into developing the helmets. Then, the students had a chance to create their own helmets and padding out of various scrap materials. After creating their helmets, the groups tested out their designs.
