Spelling Practice
Instead of completing traditional spelling packets each week, we have switched it up! Last week we tried spelling boxes. For their homework, each student had to complete one of the assignments. I told the class that they would receive extra credit if they completed more than one assignment. When several students came in with THREE assignments completed, I was ecstatic! I love the work ethic in our classroom! I have added some of the assignments at the end for you to see.
This week, we are going to try spelling boxes again. Except, students will have the entire week to complete at least 3 boxes. Once again, they will earn extra credit for doing extra assignments. Some students told me it was difficult to keep track of the spelling words throughout the week. So, this week we will be gluing the words right into our agendas!
